ABOUT,

AND HE, THE FOOL are the new Dublin septet. Seamlessly blending their combined tastes for the theatricality of Art Rock and Psychedelic Pop, they tint their sound with the ethereal harmony and sentiment of Melancholia at their saddest and of Contemporary Soul and their most celebratory. With all of this emotion moving to a New Wave informed groove, the fools have already established an ever evolving, diverse yet distinctive voice.

‘Their live sets have gathered a lot of buzz already; showcasing hot-swapping lead vocals, tight rhythmic musicianship and mellifluous layers of harmony carrying the show from moody pensive tension to bursts of agony and euphoria.

Early attendees have been drawing comparisons to acts ranging from Jeff Buckley to Talking Heads, Hayley Williams to Black Country, New Road.

THE FOOLS have had an amazing year including packed out shows in Whelan’s Main Room and the Button Factory (with Tilt), as well as multiple festival appearances at festivals this Summer including All Together Now and Another Love Story. The Irish Times listed them as one of the highlights of the ATN alongside acts like The Mary Wallopers and Sprints. They have garnered a name for themselves via their high energy live shows showcasing tight rhythmic grooves and hot swapping vocals, to stripped back brooding folk.

They also released two studio singles 'The Dogs' and 'Good Aches', the latter was awarded Radio Nova's Irish song of the year, as well as receiving radio plays across Ireland, the UK and the US including a couple of plays from John Kennedy on Radio X.

After a successful 2024, the Fools are gearing up for a massive 2025 with back to back EP releases planned as well as continuing their string of live performances across Ireland and the UK.
